Death took away another useful life when John Clement answered the call Monday night at 10 o'clock at the age of 54 years. His going leaves a wife and eight children and most of the children are small and soley dependent on his work for maintenance. He was one of the most honest, upright, noble men we have ever known. He was a good carpenter and hundreds of buildings in the country are monuments to his handiwork. When not otherwise employed he was pruning apple trees and was an expert at the job. He never asked exorbitant prices for his labor, was always reasonable in his dealings, always doing the meek and humble things of life; never out of humor or worried, and ever had a cheerful "Hello" for his many friends--and everyone was his friend. Funeral services were conducted at the Apostolic church on Tuesday at 2:00 o'clock and the body was interred in the Phillips cemetery.
