"Richard, yeoman, of Mouldridge Grange, Derbyshire, England, was the son of Joseph Bonsall. He was born March 17, 1641, and died in Darby Twp. on September 17, 1699. He married Mary (Wood) Bonsall on Dec. 22, 1672 in Ashford MM, Derbyshire, England. With 5 children they immigrated to PA Colony in Spring of 1683. Their family eventually grew to 9 children, Rachel, Ann, Abigail, Mary, Sarah, Jacob, Benjamin, Enoch and Elinor Bonsall. Richard & Mary raised their children in the Quaker faith and were original members of Darby MM."
