Mrs. Dan; Blake Sr., 81, of Akron,
died Wednesday, December 11 (1974)
at the Akron hospital after a brief illness.
Services were held at 1:30p.m., Saturday,
December 14-in the First Church
of Christ. The Rev. Michael McHugh
officiated. Interment was in Riverside
cemetery under the direction of Schroeder
Funeral Home in Akron.
Pallbearers were Wayne, Blake, Leo
Blake, Arden Blake, Orin Blake, Jerry
Blake, Charles Thompson, Tracy
Thompson.
Mrs. Blake, the former Hazel Barrington,
was born Oct. 20, 1893 at St.
Helena, N^b. She was married Sept.
6,1911 in Sioux City. Mr. Blake died in
January, 1970. The couple had been lifelong
residents of the Akron area.
Survivors include four daughters,
Mrs. Arnold (Cora) Emrich of Santa
Rosa, Calif., Mrs. C. Y. (Dorothy)
Brunemier of Nevada, Iowa, Mrs.
Thomas (Lucille) Clark of Trulock,
Calif., and Mrs. S. C.(Lavonne)Thompson
of Wayne, Neb.; two sons, Kenneth
and Dan Jr., both of Akron; 20 grandchildren,
36 great-grandchildren and
seven great-great-grandchildren.
