Thursday morning, June --, 1900 at 5:40 o'clock occured the death of Harvey Hickman at his home 1 1/4 miles north of White Heath. His death was not unexpected as he was sick with dropsy since January 24. The funeral was held at the U. B. Church in White Heath with interment in Monticello Cemetery.
He was born in Ross County, Ohio on January 23, 1833 and came to this county in 1854. On January 23, 1861 he was united in marriage with Maria Teats. To this union were born eleven children, eight of whom are living.
Mr. Hickman had always had a joke for his friends no matter how bad he felt. And during his sickness no one heard him complain. He was always worse to himself than to anyone else.
