John Lodmer McGhee, 80, died Friday at his home at Nola, Va., after an illness of two weeks. Funeral and burial services were held Monday afternoon. The deceased had lived his entire life in Franklin County and served his country during the Civil War. He was a member of the Baptist church. He and his widow lived to see the fifth generation of their family and had celebrated the 60th anniversary of their marriage. Those surviving are his widow, Victoria Minerva Ross McGhee and the following children: Mrs. Corretta Turner, Fieldale, Mrs. Bettie Mary Moore, Henry, Oscar B. McGhee, Olympia, Wash., Ferd L. & Walter E. McGhee, Nola and one brother, Robert Green (Cub) McGhee, Henry, Va.
