She spent most of her years in California, many of them in San Francisco, as a hotel manager.
She moved to South Lake Tahoe, after retirement, then to Clovis, in 2004.
Marty is survived by her daughter, Gina Romsdahl; and four granddogs. She is also survived by three siblings, Abe Bartsch, Sophie Bartsch and Jenny Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Friday, January 2, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or any animal rescue or welfare foundation.
