Martha, daughter of THOMAS and ELIZABETH MORRIS, married 14 Apr 1867 GIDEON GOOCH who died 11 Mar 1911. One of the oldest Jackson township citizens, died at her home west of Purdin. She and her husband were in the millinery business for nine years in Browning MO.. Twelve children were born, 3 infants, LYDIA, ELIZABETH and LOUISA have preceded her; living are Mrs MILDRED SINGLETON, Mrs STELLA TAYLOR and EDWARD, all of Linneus; GIDEON and THOMAS of Purdin; and WILLIS of Larned, KS. Also leaves brother JAMES MORRIS, sisters, Mrs MELESSA ALEXANDER and Mrs LUCY BAKER, all of Purdin. Services at Mt Olive Church.
