She was born in Chesterfield and was the daughter of the late William A. and Catherine Sowell Douglass. She was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church for many years and later was a member of Dorchester Waylyn Baptist Church in North Charleston. She was a member of VFW. Mrs. Boseman was a homemaker all of her life, and she loved her home and especially enjoyed cooking.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Carroll Boseman, in 1968; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Boseman Loser in 1970; and a son, Bryant "Dusty" Boseman in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, James Michael (Sharon) Boseman of San Antonio, Texas and Douglass Carroll Boseman of Fallon, Nevada; one daughter, Rose Boseman Scott of Bonneau; one sister, Mrs. Elva Douglass Boseman of Darlington; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
