Nancy's first husband was Theodore A. Funk born ca. 1847 in Denmark and they married in Bureau Co IL in Sept 1869. They divorced before 1885. He apparently deserted his family.
Their 5 known children were:
-Florence Funk b. Mar 1870. No further info. It is believed she died before the 1880 census. Or that she was mistakenly recorded.
-Francis Marion Funk (who changed his name to
Charles Henry Smith see #22581006 because of his distain for his father)
-George Washington Funk
