Mrs. Young, a homemaker and resident of Shreveport since 1919, died at 1:05 a.m. Saturday Dec. 3, 1983, at South Park Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Kelley Memorial Baptist Church and Bethel Shrine and was a charter member of O.E.S. Cedar Grove Chapter. She was born in Harrisonburg, La.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Young. She is survived by one son, Glynn A. Young, Sr. of Metairie, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Lewis and Mrs. Myrtle Prince, of Shreveport and Mrs. Ruth Harris of Keithville, La.; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Norman Lewis, Michael E. Lewis, Glynn Young, Jr., Lee Stevens, Joe Burroughs, Jerry Jones, James Young and Ray Harris.
Honorary pallbearers; Great-Grandsons.
