Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Kelley Memorial Baptist Church for James L. Young, 72, of 4130 Barbara Street, who died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday at his home. The Rev. Winston Borum will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Young, a retired grocer and carpenter, was a native of Mississippi. He had been a resident of Shreveport since 1919 and was a member of the Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Martha Valentine Young, Shreveport; one son, G. A. Young, of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. R. H. Lewis, Mrs. R. C. Prince, and Mrs. T. L. Harris, all of Shreveport; one brother, T. W. Young, of Monroe; one sister, Mrs Cora Pippin, of Pineville; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be A. F. Williford, W. N. Williford, T. R. Johnston, W. C. King, W. R. Prothro, and R. L. Alexandria.
