Funeral Service For Mrs. Woodard
Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie R. Woodard, 72, of 50 South Church Street, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. Frank M. Singleton and the Rev. Robert Ballard will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and the body will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m., Saturday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Woodard, the former Miss Ollie Register, died Thursday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. H. S. Allen, after a brief illness. She was born in Laurens County and had lived here all her life. Widow of D.R.S. Woodard, she was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Her survivors are six daughters, Mrs. L. L. Howell of Dublin, Route 3, Mrs. Roy Watson of Zellwood, Fla., Mrs. O. E. Howell, Mrs. Allen and Mrs. John Gaillard of Dublin, and Mrs. Charles Oliver of Fort Pierce, Fla.; two sons, J. I. Woodard of Rentz and O. C. Woodard of Statesboro; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Millard Coleman of Dublin, Route 3, Mrs. James Edwards of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. Charles Stapleton of Lumber City, and Miss Phonie Register of Milledgeville; three brothers, Arthur Register of Hazlehurst, Harley Register of Camillia, and Debbie Register of Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews.
