Funeral services for Lula M. Smith, who died at Hampton Nursing Home Saturday afternoon, will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, at Mitchell Funeral Home, Marion. Officiating Minister will be the Rev. Tracy Dees and burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. today.
Mrs. Smith, 86, formerly lived at 602 N. Vicksburg St., Marion, before entering the nursing home. She was born in Johnson County March 3, 1887, to James and Emeline Albright Mohler. She was married to Adrian Smith who died in 1956. The deceased was a member of the First Pentecostal Church, Creal Springs.
Survivors are: a daughter, Leila Baker of Marion and two sisters, Esta Wells, Creal Springs and Mahala Howerton, Marion; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Elza, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
