Funeral services for Mrs. William Steere, 83, who died in Danville, Ky., were held Friday at St. Johns. Interment was in Palo Cemetery.
Mrs. Steere was the former Stella Minier of Palo and lived most of her life in St. Johns until recent years when she moved to Kentucky to make her home with her son, Dwight who is a professor of music at the Presbyterian Boys College in Dansville.
She is also survived by another son, Arthur, who is superintendent of schools at Winston-Salem, N.C.; two granddaughters, one grandson and one sister, Mrs. Harry Compton of Plymouth.
Mrs. Steere was a frequent summer visitor in Ionia.
Attending the services were her niece, Mrs. Donald Crawford and Mrs. Fred Beahan of Ionia and Mrs. Bernard Adgate of Saranac.
