Mrs. Hilda Elizabeth Langston, 87, passed away on April 12, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Hilda was born on July 1, 1930, in Houston, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Alice Hamby.

Mrs. Hilda was a graduate of Vaughn's Beauty College in Aberdeen. She owned and operated Hilda's Beauty Shop in West Point for 60 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Point. She was an avid and accomplished flower and vegetable gardener. She was a well respected hairdresser and attended numerous seminars and educational courses to further her professional expertise in the beauty field. She gave her professional field all of her energy and dedicated her life to the field of beauty and hairstyling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: M.O. "Buck" Nelson and Royce Langston and a son: David Lee Wray.

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodland. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dale N. Turner (Mike) of Trussville, AL, and Tammy Graham of Arkansas; two grandchildren; Amy Schwartz (Rick) of Pensacola, FL and Wes Yeatman (Donna) of Birmingham, AL: six great-grandchildren; Ricky and Aly Schwartz and Taylor, Lilly, Wesley, and Daniel Yeatman.

Pallbearers will be Wes Yeatman, Mark Turner, Charles Cox, Daniel Yeatman, Wesley Yeatman, John Ed Freshour, John Burt Wooten, and Rick Schwartz.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy and Raye Young, Virginia Orman, her many patrons of Hilda's Beauty Shop, and her church family at Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday 9:00-10:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home. Friends may leave an online condolence at www.calvertfuneralhome.com
