For a number of years he was co-owner and operator of Parks Bros. Livery/Transfer at Wabash with his brother Mose. He operated a horse-drawn cab at Wabash from the Parks Bros. business, and later was a motorized taxi driver/operator at Wabash (beginning in 1911). He married Mearl Goudy on May 31, 1902.
