Bernice was born March 8, 1937 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Marvin and Elon (Kelly) Edwards. She married Harry L. Adams on August 26, 1955 in Long Beach, California. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2005.
Survivors include one son: Robert L. (Girlie) Adams of Maryville, TN; three sisters: Jackie Peters, Katheren Love and Lafern Bella; two brothers: William Lee and Richard Edwards; six grandchildren: Joshua, Stephanie, Samantha, Sarah, Robert & Jessica Adams; two great grandchildren: Landon & Haley.
Bernice was preceded in death by two sons: James W. Adams and Stephen Adams; two sisters: Buelah Zimmerman and Dixie Anderson; two brothers: Don Wesley Edwards and L.D. Edwards.
She was a loving mother and homemaker. Bernice loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
The Rev. James Brown will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 pm, Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 1 pm until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
