Lois Griffin Faith, one of three children born to the late Noble and Valentine Murray, came into this world on Oct. 12, 1919, in Goodwell, Okla. Moving to Texas at a young age, she graduated from Wellington High School with with Class of 1937. Lois' favorite and most enjoyable job was for the Dallas Morning News, where she worked as a journalist. Lois then went to work for the Social Security office as a Claims Representative. She relocated many times during her employment and retired in 1981. Lois married Wayne Tatum Cudd, deceased; Griff Griffin, deceased, and in December 2007, married Rudy Faith. Lois resided at Grand Court with her husband Rudy, where she was an active resident including the weekly non-denominational church service. Mrs. Faith left this world on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at her residence.

Along with her husband Rudy, Lois leaves behind two daughters, Carol Sanford of Seattle, Wash., and Nancy Samuels of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren, Mark Sanford, Tamara Packer and Beth McCullough; great-grandchildren, Max Packer and Samara McCullough ; and a brother, Talmadge Murray, of Maryland. Bertha Williams, sister, preceded Lois in death.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Road, Suite 3, Lubbock, Texas 79416.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lois will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Grand Court. Cremation is under the direction of Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
