Visitation for Abdon Aguirre, 75, of Arrey will be held at 5:30 p.m. today(Tuesday, Dec. 23) at San Isidro Catholic Church in Garfield, where the prayer vigil will follow at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday(Dec. 24) at the same church. Burial will follow at the Garfield Cemetery.
Aguirre died Monday(Dec. 22) at La Posada, Mesilla Valley Hospice.
Survivors include his wife Argelia Aguirre of Arrey; mother Mercedes Mata; sons, Victor Aguirre of Tucson, Ariz., Eduardo Aguirre, Alfredo Aguirre and Abdon Aguirre Jr. all of Arrey, Jesus Aguirre of Hatch; daughters, Teresa Fajardo and Lucila Araiza both of Las Cruces, Elena Aguirre of Chandler, Ariz., Patricia Bouvet of Garfield; brothers Geronimo and Salvador Aguirre; sisters, Guadalupe Soto, Refujia Reyes, Francisca Flores, Esperanza Aguirre; and 16 grandchildren.
