WILLIAM CALDWELL DIES AT COLUMBUS
Former Resident of Jackson Succumbs to Typhoid Fever After Few Weeks' Illness
William Caldwell, a brother of Miss Stella Caldwell of this city and Mrs. Chambers of Chapman and a nephew of John P. Gibson of this city died at the St. Francis Hospital at Columbus, Wednesday morning October 27, after a few weeks' illness from typhoid fever. The young man was about twenty six years of age and was reared in this city. He has been residing in a suburb of Columbus. He was unmarried and was an engineer by occupation.
The remains were brought to this city Thursday evening and taken to the residence of George Jackson with whom Miss Stella Calwell resides and where the funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday. The burial which was in Fairmount Cemetery was in charge of Undertaker Charles L. Wood.
His grave is unmarked.
