Minnie, or Ozella as everyone knew her, attended school at Union Hill School south of Ringling. She then married Warren D. Davis in 1939, making their home in Ringling before moving to Oklahoma City in 1949, where they remained. Ozella's home was always open to everyone, and you could bet you were going to be fed before you left, as she loved cooking for everyone. Although she lived in Oklahoma City for 59 years, she cherished the times that she and Warren returned to Ringling to visit their family and friends. Even though her last few years were spent in the nursing home, Ozella enjoyed them and was happy and content. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and a longtime member of the Exchange Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Preceded in death by parents husband in 1993 1 son, Shiral W. Davis in 1996 3 brothers, Clarence Allen, L.D. Allen and George Jr. Allen 2 sisters, Clara Austin and Estelle Davis. She is survived by 1 son, Willard Davis, and 1 daughter Debbie Harper, both of Oklahoma City 2 brothers, Cortez Allen of Ringling and Don Allen of Oklahoma City 1 sister, Virginia Russell of Oklahoma City 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, 2008 at Ringling 1st Baptist Church with Bro. Rusty Stowe officiating. Burial will be at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dudley-Roberts Funeral Home in Ringling.
