Born in Abbeville District, South Carolina, Jane married Dr. John H. Miller on Jan 8, 1805 in Abbeville, Abbeville District, South Carolina
(Bio: G. Andrew Dill)

There is some question as to who Jane's parents are. It appears that she is not the daughter of Revolutionary War General Andrew Pickens and Rebecca Floride Calhoun Pickens.

Jane Pickens (March 6, 1773 - March 30, 1816), one of the General's daughters, married Capt. James Wilkinson 1788. Jane (Jean) Pickens, the General's sister(1738-1824), married Rev. Robert Miller, the General's chaplain during the war. It is likely that their youngest son was John Henry Miller, the husband of Jane Bonneau Pickens. John Henry Miller would have been a nephew of the General, and Jane Bonneau a niece by marriage.
