Mrs. Alice McClellan Moffett died Thursday afternoon, April 11, 1940 at 5
o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brindle, Spruce Creek.
Mrs. Moffett was born at Colerain Forge on May 10, 1862, a daughter of John and
Sarah Hampton. Her husband, Anderson M. Moffett died several years ago.
Surviving are one son, Edgar L. Moffett, and a daughter, Mrs. George W.
McMullen, both of Spruce Creek; also twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brindle on
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Franklinville cemetery.
