On Dec. 20, 1882, Richard's mother, Phebe Danks, died. The funeral took place from the residence of her son-in-law, Oliver Peabody. His father is already deceased but unknown what date.
1902: It was reported at Police Headquarters this morning that Richard Danks is missing from his home on Campbell's Highway. He is about 60 years old and has been ill for some time. He left his home yesterday and was seen in Albany during the afternoon. [Troy Daily Times]
Richard Danks was 72 years old. His funeral was held from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence N. Powers, at 15 Reid Avenue. John Danks, Frank Danks, Oliver Peabody, William Tierney, Stephen Tierney and James Peabody, nephews of the deceased, were bearers. Rev. Harvey F. Connor, pastor of Levings Methodist Church, officiated. The interment was in New Mount Ida Cemetery.
