Sudden Death Comes to Mrs. C. D. Clark Friday Afternoon

Sudden death came to Mrs. C.D. Clark on Friday afternoon about 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Aubrey Bates, where she had been visiting for two weeks.

She had not shown signs of illness during the day, but was stricken suddenly with a heart attack while conversing with her daughter. A physician was summoned, but her demise came before his arrival.

Fern Fielding was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Fielding, and was born at Eureka, Arkansas, on March 16, 1896, being 49 years of age.

She came to Texas with her parents in early life and attended the Honey Grove schools.

Her marriage to C. D. Clark was in April 1915, and the family lived at Breckenridge.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Aubrey Bates, Honey Grove; three sons, Paul Clark, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Private Bobby Joe Clark and Richard Fielding Clark, Breckenridge. These brothers and sisters survive; W. H. Fielding, Honey Grove, Joe Fielding, Amarillo, Louie Fielding, Midland, Malcolm Fielding, Corpus Christi, Mrs. H. M. Smith, Honey Grove, Mrs. Pierce Wood, Fort Worth, Mrs. Ivan Johnson and Miss Martha Fielding, Tulsa, Oklahoma; a grandson, Clark Bates, Honey Grove.

Last rites were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Smith, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. H. Logan, pastor of McKenzie Methodist Church. The body was given burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
