W. C. Neal Services Held At French Camp

William Coy Neal, 66, retired furniture store owner of French Camp, died Jan. 2 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital following an illness of four months. Funeral services were held Friday at 10 a.m. at French Camp Baptist Church with burial in the French Camp Cemetery. The Rev. J. B. Smith officiated and Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Neal, a native of the New Haven community of Choctaw County, had lived in Clarksdale :9 years before moving to French Camp three years ago. He was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Virgie Peacock Neal; a daughter, Mrs. B. E. Overton, of French Camp; a son, Charles Neal, of Clarksdale; two brothers, Alvin Neal of Indianola and Wesley Neal of Tupelo. Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Lester King of Indianola, Mrs. Eli Miles of Gatlinburg, Tenn., Mrs. E. P. Watson of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Elton Mordecai of Weir; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lester King, Eli Miles, E. P. Watson, Bill Peacock, Roy Peacock, Jim Willis, Elton Mordecai and Atley Jenkins.
