Mrs. Catherine I. Curtin, widow of Andrew G. Curtin Pennsylvania's Civil War Governor and who also served in the 47,48 and 49th Congresses, died suddenly of apoplexy aged 84 years. Mrs. Curtin had been shopping. She went home to luncheon and was stricken while eating and died within the hour.
