?"Peter Connelly" (also known as "Baby P" or "Child A") was a 17-month old boy who died after suffering over 50 injuries at the hands of his mother Tracey Connelly, her boyfriend Steven Barker, and their lodger, Jason Barker (alias Owen and brother of Steven Barker) of Kent , the former two of whom are currently protected by a court order from having their names released to the press in Britain even though previous articles published onto the Internet by British press still exist publicising the information of the case. The mother and boyfriend, both from Tottenham, north London, were individually charged with murder and with allowing and causing the death of a child. The third man, who is the brother of Steven Barker was lodging at the residence at the time, was also charged with allowing and causing the death of a child.

Peter Connelly was first admitted to hospital, aged 9 months, in mid-December 2006, with a head injury and bruising. Medical Staff considered the injury "non accidental", and he was kept in for 4 days. On 22 December 2006, Peter Connelly and one of his siblings became subject to a child protection plan.

In March 2007, the eldest child was seen to be slapped by her mother. In April 2007, Peter Connelly was presented to hospital with a serious swelling to the head, as well as bruises and scratches to his face and neck. It was also noted that he had head lice. He was admitted to hospital for 2 days.

In June 2007, a social worker observed marks on Peter Connelly and informed the police. A medical examination concluded that the bruising was due to abuse. On 4 June, the baby was placed with a friend for safeguarding. Over a month later, on 25 July, Haringey's Children & Young People's Service obtained legal advice which indicated that the "threshold for initiating Care Proceedings...was not met"

The following month, on 1 August, 2007, Peter Connelly was seen by a paediatrican for a development assessment, which showed him to be unwell with a viral infection and partly healing scalp infection; a follow up assessment was arranged.

At 11:35 a.m. on 3 August 2007, an ambulance was called to the house where the crew discovered Peter Connelly in a critical condition. Peter Connelly was rushed to North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton but died shortly after midday.?Peter Connelly was a beautiful baby boy who lived a horrible life. In his short 17 months of life, peter knew nothing but abuse. He deserved so much more, he deserved to be hugged and to be told that he was loved.

Peter Connelly a 17-month old boy who died in London after suffering more than 50 injuries over an eight-month period, during which he was repeatedly seen by Haringey Children's services and NHS health professionals.

On 3 August 2007, an ambulance was called and Peter was found in his cot, blue and clad only in a nappy. After attempts at resuscitation, he was taken to North Middlesex hospital with his mother but was pronounced dead at 12:20 pm.

Everytime you look at your children, just stop, hug them, and tell them that you love them. Do this for peter, do this because no child deserves to feel un-loved.

I love you peter... and one day when i get to see you... i will give you the biggest hug, and never let you go!
