Edward Everett "E.E." Graves was the son and only surviving child of George Washington Graves and Martha Jane Hillyard.

E.E. Graves married Carrie Bertha Sitton on 16 April 1896 in Stoddard County, MO.

E.E. and Bertha had four children. The first born was a stillborn girl in Dec 1896. The remaing children were: Salome Sitton "Sam" Graves (1898-1979), Ralph Evert Graves (1903-1979) and George Edwin "Pete" Graves (1910-1984)
