She was united in marriage to Alfred Hinson April 13, 1884 who brought his bride to the farm where she still resided at the time of her death. After the death of her husband she continued to make her home with her daughter there.
Though stricken with blindness a year ago she was uncomplaining, cheerfully accepting her affliction. Aunt Mary, as she was lovingly called by many will be sadly missed by her loved ones and her friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Etta Boyster and Mrs. Nellie Bliss; five grandchildren, Clarence, Charles, and Virginia Boyster and Moris and Glen Bliss; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Gorg, Mrs. Cecilia Bardot, and Mrs. Cora Helmendach; one brother, Leo Barbaud; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Rev. John Sullivan at Prospect Baptist Church and the remains laid to rest there.
Mother was Mary Magdelena (Hays) Barbaud, who died in 1867.
