Carl was the son of Vorus Lincoln Chambers and Abbie L. Caldwell.
He married to Dorothy Norris.
They appear in the 1920 and 1930 census of Lick Township, Jackson County, Ohio. He was a farmer in 1920 and a salesman in 1930. Two daughters, Gladys and Jean, were at home in 1930.

Funeral services were held here Monday for Carl Chambers, well-known former Jackson resident, who died at New Carlisle, Ohio Friday morning after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 70 years old.
A native of Jackson County, he was a retired chemist from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, a member of the Christian Church and a World War I veteran. His parents were the late V. L. and Abbie Caldwell Chambers.
He is survived by his widow, Dorothy; one son, Lloyd Chambers of Memphis, Tennessee; and four daughters; Mrs. Ralph Gage and Mrs. Raymond Zolman of Dayton; Mrs. Robert Parsons of North Canton and Mrs. Ronald Greene of Medway, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Donald Ashton at the Sperry Funeral Home and burial followed in Fairmount Cemetery.
