Christiann Bashford was born in Ohio, April 12, 1831, and died at her home in Noble township, Noble county, Indiana, May 17, 1909, aged 78 years, 1 month and 5 days.
She was united in marriage with John N. Adair, March 17, 1855, and to this union four sons, who still survive were born – William C., Thomas N., Edwin L., and John W.; also three brothers, David and Jared Bashford, of Carlow, Mo., and Elisha Bashford, of Stanley, Wis. and one sister, Mrs. Rachel Beavers, of Nebraska. Her husband preceded her to the spirit world November 16, 1890.
