Obituary for William "Ed" Bolton
Mr. William "Ed" Bolton, 81, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Bolton was born on March 21, 1932 in Maury County to the late Bernie A. Bolton and the late Lora Baker Bolton. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and served honorably during his time of service. Later he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Floyd and Floyd contractors.

Ed was married to Henrietta Randolph Bolton who precedes him in death. His sons and grandsons remember that he loved to work, whether it was fishing, cutting wood or scrapping metal. They fondly recall that the only time he wasn't working was "card night" at their Aunt Margaret's house playing cards for hours with his brothers. He was a member of Ebenezer Church.

Mr. Bolton is survived by his children: Kathy (Jay) Bolton Davidson, Michael Eugene Bolton and Christopher "Chris" Bolton; step-children: Joyce (PeeWee) Riggins, Mary (Alton) Pierce and Carolyn McCanless; his daughter-in-law: Christine Bolton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: John C. Bolton and Walter "PeeWee" Bolton; and very special friend: Joyce Sealey. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his son: Eddie Bolton; step-children: William Ray Kelley, Margaret Williams, Clyde Kelley, Ricky Kelley and Paul Kelley; brothers: James "Jimmy" Albert Bolton, David Ray Bolton, Bernie Lee Bolton; and his former wife and mother of his only daughter: Katherine Isabell Medlin.

Funeral services for Mr. Bolton will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. William Owens and Danny Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Phillip Bolton, David Bolton, Matt Mayes, Christopher Bolton, Clinton Bradley and Jason Bolton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included all Ed's nieces and nephews as well as members of Ebenezer Church.
