John Charlie Bolton of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. JC was born on June 7, 1927 to the late Bernie and Lora Baker Bolton in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.

JC worked at Arrow Mines/ Mobil Chemical as a kiln operator, Conalco Aluminum, and retired from ICP of Lewisburg. All his life he loved to go fishing and eat the fish afterwards. You would often see him fishing at Arrow Lake in Mount Pleasant. He also loved raising and growing a vegetable garden and would share his vegetables with friends and family. He was a member and regularly attended Parkway Baptist Church of Columbia.

Mr. Bolton is survived by his sons, Bonnie Wayne ( Juanita) Bolton of Columbia, David Michael Bolton of Columbia, and Charles “Tony” (Mary Jean) Bolton of Lewisburg; Brother, Walter “PeeWee” (Mary) Bolton; Grandchildren, Chandelle (Brian) Sullivan, Nathan Wayne Bolton, Carrie (Lance) Suggs, Michael Todd (Alexia) Bolton, Shelley (Kenny) Asbury, Ray (Angie) Bolton, Jeff (Jeanie) Reese, Jeanna Hargrove, Jill Reese, and Jennifer Dalton; Seventeen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; Sister- in- laws, Linda Young and Rose Bondurant and Brother -in- law, Bill Isabell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Bolton, Ed Bolton, David Ray Bolton, and Bernie Lee Bolton.

Funeral services for JC will be on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with William Owens and Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ray Bolton, Nathan Bolton, Todd Bolton, Jim Bolton Jr., James Ray Bolton, Jeff West, Terry Buie, and Jay Davidson.
