Alva Donovan, 69, former resident of Wisconsin Dells, died Thursday at a hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after two weeks' illness.
He was a lineman for the Western Union Telegraph co. and had lived in Columbus for the last eight years.
Survivors are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Quentmeyer, Madison, Mrs. John Struckmeyer, Mayville, and Mrs. John Braska, Milwaukee; four sons, J. O. Donovan, Madison, William V. and B. V. Donovan, Wisconsin Dells, and C. C. Donovan, Kenosha; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The body will be brought to Madison. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Schroeder funeral home, Dr. Theodore Bolliger, Madison, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
