Mrs. Casteel Dies at 66 (actually she was 68)
Vera L. Casteel, 66, a Bremerton area resident for 47 years died Monday at a Tacoma hospital where she had been for 30 days.
Born Sept. 10, 1897 (should read 1896...we, Wayne & I provided an incorrect date to the newspaper based on data provided to us by Byrl & Joyce)), in Iowa, she lived here at the Rocky Point Trailer Park.
Survivors include four sons, Byrl, Arlys and Marvin of Bremerton and Maurice W. Casteel of Port Orchard; three daughters, Mrs. Leah Winkel and Mrs. Lorraine Puderbaugh of Bremerton and Mrs. Elaine Clark of Seattle; 19 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services are at Lewis Chapel Friday at 1 p.m. with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
