Mr. Farwell was a member of the Odd Fellows in Unity for 63 years. He had been a farmer and was well known for his playing at dances.
Mr. Farwell is survived by his widow, Myrtle of Bangor, one daughter, Mrs. Marcella Smith of Rockland, Mass.; two sons, Robert of Wingdale, New York and John of Westbrook; one sister, Mrs. Kitty Harding of Unity; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Unity Union Church with the Rev. Milton Brophy officiating. Burial will be in the spring at the Pond Cemetery in Unity.
