Mr. Alton "Tebbie" Arnold, age 78 of Rosharon, formerly of Lovelady, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 in the Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville, Texas. Mr. Arnold was born August 4, 1929 in Houston County, Texas and had lived most of his lifetime in Lovelady. Mr. Arnold was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served during World War II and was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Arnold was retired and had worked as a machinist.
Survivors include his sister Opal "Mickey" Nixon and husband Gene, of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; special family Tommy and Mackie Arnold, of Bonney.
Preceded in death by his parents Sam and Ellen Arnold; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Mr. Alton "Tebbie" Arnold were held Thursday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Arnold officiating. Interment followed in the Douglas Cemetery.
