LOVED PIONEER CALLED BEYOND
Adam Schuessler, Sr., aged 93 years, seven months and four days, passed away Monday, September 16, 1918, at 4:10 in the afternoon at the home of his son Stephen in Scott township after two years illness, his advanced years being the cause of his death.
Four sons and two daughters survive:
Michael of Lincoln township, Adam of Muscatine county, Stephen of Scott township, Conrad of Scott township, Mrs. John Emde, Washington county, and Miss Kate, at home.
Mr. Schuessler lived in Johnson county forty-seven years. He was well known and highly respected and a devoted member of the German Lutheran church. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Sept 18, at 2:00. Burial was in the Thompson cemetery, in Scott township. Reverend H. Brueckner conducted the funeral services.
