Charles came from Nebraska to Oregon in the late 1930's. He did carpenter construction work, and worked on the Japanse Concentration Camp at Tule Lake during the war. He married Ethel (Thomas) Provancha in May of 1941 and continued carpenter work around the Klamath area. They moved to Nyssa, Oregon and bought a fruit farm. They lived there 6 years until Charles retired in 1956. They sold the farm and were planning a move back to Klamath Falls when Charles had a fatal heart attack.
