The Daily Notes, Canonsburg PA, Friday 07 May 1926, front page - Mrs. Anna Boyce Freed Dies At Boyce Station --- BOYCE STATION, May 7 – ANNA BOYCE FREED, wife of the late JOHN H. FREED, of this place, died at 1:30 a.m., Friday morning, May 7, 1926, at her home here in her 75th year. Mrs. Freed was the daughter of the late JOSEPH and SARA YOUNG BOYCE and had spent her entire life in the immediate neighborhood. She was a life-long member of the Center Presbyterian Church and will be mourned by many friends and relatives. Mrs. Freed suffered a fractured hip in June 1925, and never fully recovered from the shock. She is survived by the following children: ALICE, NELLIE, and GRACE, at home; MRS. W. E. McCRACKEN, of Canonsburg; one son, WILLIAM B. FREED, who resides on the home farm, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the late home Sabbath afternoon at 2 o'clock standard time, and the interment will be in the Center Cemetery.
