Daily Notes, Canonsburg, Washington Co PA, Wednesday 28 June 1905, page 05 - MRS. JOSEPH BOYCE died yesterday morning at 7 o'clock at her home near Boyce station, aged almost eighty years. Mrs. Boyce had been in ill health for about two years, and death was due to the infirmities of age. Her maiden name was YOUNG, and she was widely known as an excellent woman. She is survived by a husband and four children, the children being JAMES, WILLIAM, ISAAC and MRS. JOHN FREED. One of the sons, Rev. Isaac Boyce, is a missionary in Mexico. Two children, DAVID and JAMES, are deceased. Mrs. Boyce was a member of Center church for fully half a century. The funeral will be held from her late home on Thursday at 1 o'clock, and will be conducted by the Rev. R. H. Coulter, D. D., pastor of the Center church. The interment will be at the Center church burying ground. (The deceased sons should read David and Joseph. She also had a deceased daughter, Janette Sarah Boyce.)
