Eda L. Waters
(April 14, 1924 - December 1, 2008)

OGDEN – Our dear mother, grandmother and friend, Eda Lewis Waters, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2008, surrounded by her family.

Eda was born April 14, 1924 in Aurora, Utah, to Willard Leo and Stella Elnora Draper Lewis.

She married Forrest Waters April 6, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington while he was serving with the U.S. Army. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Eda grew up in Aurora and moved to Ogden with her husband to raise their family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who spent many tireless hours supporting her husband with his business and serving her family. She always had a hug and kind word for everyone and was a positive influence in our lives. She made every occasion special. Family was everything to her. She especially enjoyed the grandchildren and made EACH one feel so special.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many auxiliary positions and had a very strong testimony of the gospel.

Eda is survived by her children, Veldon (Shirley) Waters, Evon (Cynda) Waters, Lyle (Kelly) Waters, Larry Waters, Kathy (Edward) Stuart, a foster daughter, Maisie Jensen, daughter-in-law, Ann Waters, one brother, Brice (Donna) Lewis, 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Eda was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Waters, and her son, Brent Waters.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
