Derrald D. Halstead, 76, of Martville, passed away Saturday. He was born in North Dakota and had lived in the Martville area for more than 40 years. Derrald retired from Owens Brockway in 1995. He had also worked for Sealright, Xerox and had owned and operated a Mobil gas station in Mexico. Derrald was an Army veteran serving from 1952 to 1954. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Colvin Halstead; his children, Donna Halstead, Steven (Kathryn) Halstead, Kevin (Dawn) Halstead and Tim(Michelle) Halstead; his sisters, Violet Goodwin, Florence Fossom and Pearl Tengesol; grandchildren, Stacie, Shawn, Sarah, Anthony, Chad, Nichole, Lindsey, Maria, Tiffany and Matt; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with a 12 noon service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Burial will be at Martville Cemetery. Contributions in Derrald's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, 13057.
