He attended Sunday School and church at First Baptist until 1967 at which time the family moved to Warner Robins, GA where he was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church and Houston County School graduating high school on May 30, 1974. He attended Middle Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA., after which he trained and worked in the pharmacy of St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Survivors include his father, Elvon Bruce Hobby of Warner Robins, GA; sisters, Eleanor Joy Hobby Evans of Wilmer, Ala., Mary E. Hobby Eubanks of Lucedale and Faye Ellen Hobby Roberts of Bonaire, GA.
Memorial service was held at Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA., January 10, 2002, with Rev. Andy Cook officiating.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 8 at 3 p.m. from Magnolia Cemetery.
