Frances Key Angell was born August 1, 1862, in Ladiesburg, Frederick County, Maryland, daughter of Samuel L. and Mary Ann Snook Angell. On December 24, 1883, in Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, she married Charles Edward Valentine, son of James Edward and Ella Josephine Rodeniser Valentine. It would appear they had no children. Fannie passed away June 15, 1913, in Keymar, Carroll County, Maryland, and was buried on the 18th in Haugh's Church Cemetery, Ladiesburg.

"Charles E. Valentine, 23, of Frederick County, bachelor, farmer, to Fannie K. Angell, 21, of Frederick County, maid. Married December 24, 1883, at Mechanicstown, by W. C. Wire."

"MRS. CHARLES VALENTINE. Mrs. Frances Key Valentine, wife of Charles Valentine, died at her home at Keymar last evening at 6:15 o'clock from paralysis, aged 51 years. Mrs. Valentine was a Miss Angell, of Keysville, before marriage and had resided in the neighborhood all her life. She is survived by her husband and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Martha Oldhouse, York, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Oliver Birely, Keymar; Mrs. J. H. Bussard, Frederick; John Henry Angell, Kansas City, Missouri. The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Services will be held in Haugh's Church."

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Martha Aulthouse, of this place; Mrs. Oliver Birely, Key-Mar, and Mrs. Joseph Buzzard, Frederick, and one brother, Henry Angle, of Kansas City, Missouri. The funeral was held Wednesday, services at the house, Rev. Dr. Beard, of that place, officiating. Interment at Hank's church."
