Mrs. Minnie Kate Black Robinson

Mrs. Minnie Kate Black Robinson, 85-year-old French Camp resident, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 15, at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the French Camp Baptist Church with burial in the French Camp Cemetery.

Mrs. Robinson, a native of Choctaw County, was a member of the French Camp Baptist Church. She was the widow of Shellie Markham Robinson.

She is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Juanita R. Downing of Morgan City, Mrs. Jane R. Buras of Venice, La., and Mrs. Peggy Nan R. Buras of Marrero, La.; seven sons, Shellie Claude Robinson of Aliceville, AL, Howard Hall Robinson of Memphis, John Lamar Robinson of Grants, N. M., David Leo Robinson of French Camp, Patrick Markham Robinson of Mesquite, Tx., Eugene B. Robinson of Gretna, La., Robert L. "Bob" Robinson of Jackson.

She also leaves a sister, Mrs. B. J. Chain Sr., of Olive Branch; two brothers, David D. Black of Memphis, Floyd A. Black of Canton; 24 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.

Officiating ministers were the Rev. Sam Patterson and the Rev. E. B. Shivers.

Pallbearers were Shellie Robinson, Glenn Robinson, Mark Robinson, James Davis Downing, Jack Robinson, Joseph Buras, Elton Buras and Rob Robinson.

Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
