Obituary

George N. McElroy was born Oct. 16 1898,
the seventh child of Andrew and Victoria
Bradigan McElroy at Findlay, Ohio.
He married Nellie Harper of Mt. Hope, Kan.,
Feb 11 1920. The couple had eight children.
William Andrew, Collins, Mont., Etta Anderson,
Purdy. Mo., Katherine Millyard, Las Anunas, Ifred,
McClave and David, Franklin and Carolyn all of
the family home. A daughter, Helen, died at the
age of 10 in 1934.
The family came to the McClave community in
1939 and lived in this vicinity continuously,
farming and raising poultry.
He is also survived by six brothers Albert and
David of Arkansas City, Kan.; Fred of Temple,
Tex.; Ifred of Salem, Ill.; Harve of Red Bluff, Calif.;
and Jack of Augusta, Kan.' and three sisters,
Chloe of Arkansas City; Belle of Youngstown,
Ohio and Etta of W. Salem, W.
Besides his widow and seven Children, 10 Grand-
children are still living.
Mr. Elroy suffered his first heart attack in 1946
and was in ill health much of the time before
his death, which came unexpectedly.
He was a member of the Christian Church of
Mt. Hope, Kan.
