Doris E. Day Ledbetter, 70, of Burleson, a retired payroll clerk for Mrs Baird's Bakery, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at her home in Burleson.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Memorial donations may be made to the Promises Ministry, care of First Baptist Church of Burleson.
Mrs. Ledbetter was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Tahlequah, Okla., to Joe E. and Gladys N. Aytes Day. She married William E. "Bill" Ledbetter on Oct. 19, 1958, in Wichita Falls. She had worked for Bell Helicopter for 12 years and retired from Mrs Baird's Bakery after six years. She enjoyed going to lakes, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and cooking. Her greatest source of joy was the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dennis, Doyle and Kenny Day; and her husband, Bill.
