Tommy Joe Day, loving Father, Brother, Papa, Uncle and friend, passed away on November 16th, 2023 at his home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Tom was born September 3rd, 1944 to Joe and Gladys Day in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Tom grew up in Blackwell with his loving parents and 12 siblings. In 1963 he graduated from Blackwell High School, where he was a champion wrestler for the Blackwell Maroons.
After graduation Tom joined the Air Force and was enlisted from 1965-1980 as an Electric Powerline Technician. During his time in the Air Force Tom was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
Tom loved Oklahoma Sooners football and enjoyed playing golf with his sons and brothers. Tom was always winning his family's "pitch" card games and would never skip a chance to get in on a Day Family horseshoe challenge. He loved music and all of his family can testify to his love for singing and his harmonica. Tom was known for his ability to often quiet an entire room with his sweet voice and harmonica playing.
Tom was a proud father to John and Jeff Day, and Proud Papa to Ashlynn Foy, Michael Day, Jordan Day, Meghan Day, Zachary Day and Baker Day.
He is survived by his son Jeff Day and wife Sheri of Blackwell, OK, son John Day and wife Shanie of Lawton, OK, 4 Grandchildren; Jordan Day and wife Becca of Jacksonville, FL, Meghan Day of Boynton Beach, FL, Ashlynn Foy and husband Robert of Lawton, OK Michael Day, wife Sam and great grandson, Baker, of Pearl Harbor, HI., sister Bonnie, brothers Ronnie, Mike, Floyd and Arvil, and special friend Judy Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Gladys Day, wives Pam and Sharon, sisters Ima and Doris, brothers Doyle, Earl, Kenny, Johnny, grandson Zachary, and youngest brother Dennis, MIA.
